TEVA of NC members taught battery testing labs using West Mountain Radio Computerized Battery Analyzers (CBA) and software for almost 20 years. The CBA testers still work great for Battery Packs up to 100V max and up to 2000W load. But a CBA 2000W test configuration could run over $4500! A 500W CBA setup goes for about $1300.
Our EVA chapter is holding hands-on aessions with two alternative technologies the NC EVX team across NC Community Colleges is testing. Tests include updated software on display at the next TEVA of NC meeting:

- EV-Peak series Battery Testers can handle up to 36V, can perform Charge/Discharge testing up to 100W with several button pushes. for under $100. Software controllable, too.
- ET54A+ series of Programmable Loads used as Battery Capacity testers, similar to the CBA. Up to 400W max available as either a high voltage tester (up to 500v, max 15A) or a higher current model (up to 40A, max 150v). Also software controllable. Oh and these are going for under $150 now!
