I work in NYC and bike to the office during the week. Company just switched buildings this week. I got a letter taped to my bike this afternoon that says no Ebikes are allowed in the bike storage room due to city regulations. Anyone else had this? I’m prepared to raise hell.
Some additional context is my company owns the entire building (very big) and my e-bike has UL certification.
Appreciate any help here!

That sounds like city regulations to me..
UL certified batteries are not dramatically safer than non certified ones.. all currently mainstream lithium technology is still randomly explosive and can cause massive property damage, you know.

You're up against a wall here, legally.

How far is work? do you need an ebike or is it more of a luxury?

Does the company have a car parking garage ?
A place near by where EV cars are parked ?
Could it be parked there instead ?

How far is your commute? Is the path of least resistance to use a pedal bike to get to work, and leave the e-bike for other things? Or do you only have the one bike?

Laws are laws, and can be badly written, but it's somewhat difficult for people subject to them (building management) to vary them - they might not have the power.

I'd remove my battery and carry it with me, and see what the response is.

After that, I'd investigate "the regulations" to see what those actually say, and consider whether the company position is justified by the regulation. Keep in mind that the building may be private property, and while some choices can't be enforced for other reasons the company may be able to make it's own choices on the matter.
