But let's decide the election that way! Both candidates have to drink a glass of water with one hand then run 100 yards. Winner takes the presidency.

5.5 years is a long time, especially in health yrs and especially at Bidens age.

On the news today "they" were saying that 1/3 of the registered voters have already voted.

50M have already voted - https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/10/23/more-than-50-million-americans-have-already-voted-in-presidential-election/?sh=6cdb5d8591bf

153M as of 2018 - https://www.statista.com/statistics/273743/number-of-registered-voters-in-the-united-states/

In 2016, approximately 137 million people voted, with 57 million of those votes cast before Election Day, yet, voters have already cast 51,150,108 ballots as of Friday morning, according to U.S. Election Project data.

Such are the standards you wish to set. Imagine the world where YOU are allowed to make decisions for everyone. Here is the real problem with people not having to earn the chance to vote, they just don't take it seriously.

We only need to as a few simple questions. Anyone have any ideas.

1. What should we do about climate change?
2. Is Corona Virus a problem and how can we deal with it?
3. Will building a wall around the US solve the immigration problem?
4. Can we train a Right Winged Flying Monkey to fly as well as a well balanced flying Monkey?

What should the big polluters do about climate change.

Sure hate to spend all that money on fixing up your own house and making it energy efficient with all the tree hugging gadgets and save the whales smiles when you got neighbors right next door playing on a whole different field with shabby, dilapidated homes (Russia, China) still burning coal and black smoke coming out of their chimneys, with snare traps all around their yard and a pool with dolphins to give smiles to crowds. Sure doesnt make any sense once so ever.

Buy your home for $400k, spend millions for tree hugging smiles yet your neighbors spend 1k on their home worth 400k.

5.Can we teach a Left Winged Monkey to read, really read, I mean GO AHEAD AND LEARN SOMETHING, damn it? I doubt you left or right winged monkeys can ever fly as well as those of us balanced and CENTERED.
6. Can we hope to teach empathy to Left Wing Monkeys who think virtual signalling is a substitute for caring?

If I had the real job I could spend $5-10k leveling my foundation to be ready for the real work. New roof, windows, spray insulation. It would already be more energy efficient before I start with solar, etc. Some things aren't that hard to decide on. But it does get hard to listen to some of these 3rd worlders saying they want us to stop polluting so they can go right ahead and start polluting in our place. Oh, left wingers will always attempt to skirt that issue.

way closer than i expected :bolt: looks like Trump wins

There is no comparison to Dewey defeats Truman. Biden and Dewey believed their polls, so did the newspaper. The vote count wasn't there yet. The vote count is there this time.

'60 Minutes' or no, Arizona is a surprise. Michael Moore was saying the polls in his home state of Michigan were wrong. Other states they said there were more signs for Trump than for corn on the cob and Biden combined, with corn on the cob beating Biden.

So I've been listening to inflammatory rhetoric from CBS news, as though Trump shooting his mouth of makes it okay for them to, too. But inflammatory rhetoric from a news network is fake news, period.

i don't see how Biden can win. But the TV makes it look like he is ahead; like you say the votes are not there.

I like how CNN is harping on Trump that he is claiming win on Twitter, all the while within 10 minutes Biden says he's winning on Twitter.

Then there is CNN conveniently leaving out information, also never showing a Bidette stump stumble or mumble or stutter.

Have they been showing Trump's numerous mispronunciations and wrong words? I doubt it. That's grade school stuff, for you grade school kids.

They have their candidate of choice, they will report from his point of view. What has changed since you posted that is they get deeper into the absentee ballot, which the Democrats pushed big. In 1990 there was a California Governors race where they precounted the absentee ballots and it gave Pete Wilson a quarter million lead. All night Jane Feinstein carved away at that with every new update. But as the night wore on you start noticing that by the time half the votes are reported she hasn't quite made up half the lead. And she didn't quite catch him. Anything can happen with the absentee vote count. And yes, that's the easiest thing to rig.

The video on the news where the guy recorded catching someone with ballots they were throwing away but didn't get any faces. Was that completely staged to give an "Explanation" for why he had them to turn in? We'll probably never know, it's amazing how he knew they were ballots from a distance as he was saying that out loud.

It's all for the entertainment value now. No point in discussing fumble mouth. If the military vote arrives in big enough numbers in a week and a half, Trump is said to have an advantage there. How well did the Democrats really do with absentee ballots? But Biden can't talk his way out of it now.

neither the wacky Left, nor the wacky Right can get all they want. :bigthumb:

stocks are sure going up :thumb: biden won't be able to push thru a tax increase for at least 2 years, until the next mid term election :D

See, this is why we (most of us) can't have nice things. You think it's ok that MILLIONS of Americans are going to be on the street with just the clothes on their backs after all the standing eviction moratoriums lapse. You don't think WEALTHY Americans have any responsibility to pay taxes or make any other kind of contribution to keeping the country that made them so fortunate a habitable place. Fine. I guess y'all's are going to have to learn the hard way. In France the set up Gilloutines but I suspect they'll just use guns here since there are so many of the things lying around.

People have to learn to live within their means. i rented a cheap room for years so i could save up to buy a house. Short sighted people want to live in a classy place right away, and then can end up on the street.

It's good that the Senate wont be taken over by Dems otherwise they'd just pass whatever Biden wants which is no good.

What remains to be seen is: Will it be a repeat of Obama in the Senate?

No it's not. Most of us can't have nice things like doing the work on my house it needs because there's always deconstructionists like you trying to destroy everything so you somehow can magically benefit.

Oooooh, suddenly you LIKE Trump. If he doesn't return for a second term, his moratorium ends. https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2020/10/12/trump-renter-eviction-moratorium-lawsuits/

Now WHY do you think that making things worse with higher taxes will help anyone but bloated politicians? Oh, wait, you're BIDEN supporter, I forgot.

The wealthy are the people who ARE paying the taxes. I just posted it again in the last few weeks. I'm pretty sure I was correcting YOU and your usual nonsense. The non wealthy don't pay the real taxes. I'm on a long block, 17 houses on each side, some have multiple families, or at least adult children, there could be close to 100 tax returns. There are individual tax returns of the wealthy that greatly exceed all of us combined. What were the numbers I posted? Was it the upper half pay 97%? 1 out of 5 pay 70% and 4 out of 5 pay 30%? YOU are getting a free ride that the wealthy are paying for.

Wall Street likes a PREDICTABLE government. That's why they didn't like Trump, he'd place a moratorium on evictions when they didn't expect it. If Wall Street is stable, the ability to do ANY business not related to Wall Street is stable. People such as Mr. Gruber who have some understanding what Wall Street is appreciate there are great intangibles in a healthy Wall Street.

I guess you mean where the House was able to bring about the sequester while Obama was SCREAMING about not getting to spend as recklessly as he wanted. He was still getting to be plenty reckless is my point. There's always someone the bad president can make a deal with. If you know of the 300 Hipolytes at Thermapolye (Some people say 'Spartans') they were betrayed, that's how the Persians defeated them.

Biden may not push socialism through on an Omnibus bill, but he'll Fabian and Fabian and there'll be those who don't allow themselves to see they're becoming creeping socialists, not deliberately but allowing it to happen.

Biden defeats America.
