Heres a few pics from the build I'm starting. So far my components are: 80 100 B motor, CC 110HV contoller, 10- 60AH thundersky cells, bms and charger from Li Ping, axiom monsoon panniers, belt and pulley from golden eagle bike engines. I'm hoping my top speed will be close to 40 with a range of 90 miles. (probably not at the same time). The bike all this is going on is an older kona smoke, which is the perfect bike for this project because it will not attract theives, but still has some decent components.

I couldn't find a decent rack that fit my needs so I made my own (also a pick of my premium wiring job and 5'x7', can't wait until I'm a homeowner! thanks miles the the pointers!

mechanix,

Use "URL" tags on your links or they break when you edit

Use the "Browse" button in the "Upload attachment" section (below the Submit button), to locate the pic on your computer and then click on "Add the file".

You can also use "Img" tags for an externally hosted image.

That workshop looks like a dungeon :D

hey... Better than the kitchen though!
At least you dont have to clean up between work sessions.

Great job on your bracket. I'm excited to see progress on your project.

It's nice to see another Kona Smoke rider here. I'm anxious to see your progress!

It's slow going with finals going on right now, but I got the batteries wired up, just waiting on the bms and charger. I wrapped the batteries in duct tape. I figured since I'm using a ping bms and charger, I should might as well wrap them in duct tape for the full effect. Each set is going to go into one pannier on each side of my rear wheel. all in all, it will add about 50 pounds right above the rear wheel. I'm hoping this won't put too much stress on the bike.

Those are some no-nonsense batteries
I wish they made 20C Lipo cells like that. . .

yeah my main goal with these batteries is longevity and range, but they will be able to crank out some amps if needed, too. I plan on crusing at 20-30 amps, or 1/3 to 1/2 C. I don't plan on drawing more than about 80 amps ever (I have a 100 amp fuse in case something goes awry).

looks like I won't get any work done on it until I get back from LA in a week and a half.
