Hi Everyone,

Just wanted some help regarding a 500W CNE bikes DD hub motor installation (haven't bought the kit yet, just looking atm) into the overly large rear 14mm axle on a Yuba Mundo electric bike. I noticed Yuba has the "axle washer" designed the electric hubs in the rear, as well as custom made Kiwi places here on ES for rear wheel systems.

However, I have trouble trying to figure out how the anti torque washer that comes with the kit will fit along with the Yuba anti torque washer for electric hubs? I was thinking of ditching that smaller washer in the kit but then the hub will have "gaps" between the dropouts and that won't work either...

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

The Yuba Washers work by clocking the axle 90 degrees so the 14mm axle fills the large 14mm dropout. The axle flats are actually perpendicular to the dropout slot. Discard the funky toy torque washers in the kit.

See the build thread in my signature for a variation - it also mentions using inner washers if axle shoulders are small - a consideration arising from the Yuba washers.
