I wanted to start a discussion around something many EV owners (especially new ones) might relate to, charging challenges during long road trips.
Even with planning tools and apps, long-distance EV travel can sometimes feel risky. So I’m curious:
  • What’s your personal experience with long EV drives?
  • Do you have any tips or workarounds to make long trips smoother?
Would love to hear your stories, whether good or frustrating and maybe we can help first-time EV road trippers be better prepared!

My personal experience is that it's fine as long as your pack charges quickly enough or if you can bruteforce range.
To make long trips smoother, just drive a bit slower than you'd expect, use a vehicle that can charge as fast as possible, and preferably map out charging points before the trip.

Nothing too special really.

Cars suck even when they're electric. They're a 50 lakh answer to a 2 lakh question. And they make everybody else pay dearly for them, not just the idiot suckers.

If there is a hell, all car drivers are going there, even electric car drivers.

That's extremely depending on the region where you are traveling. Here in Germany it's absolutely no problem, you can find HPC chargers every few kilometres. In other countries it might be worse.
If you can charge with >150kW it takes longer to finish your cappuccino than charging for the next 250km...
