Both. Neither the renewables are more expensive than the fossile, nor the fossils are the future. Yes, at the moment they are still needed, until enough storages are built. But this will change in the next 20 years.

I dont see the connection with coal,…but that was an old article and meanwhile back in CA..

Im glad you do recognise the reality of power generation, even if others continue with the dillusion that all EVs are powered by sunshine and wind.

They will in most cases and they will be a part of the storage grid.

I'm not waiting. My energy usage now averages 750kW a month now. So I will be adding solar to make most of that so I will not depend on my City to get away from Coal, have not purchased any Gasoline in over 7 years now.

if it averages 750kW, what is the peak power you use? Seems like a lot of power unless you're running a lot of industrial equipment.

Don't believe that I use 750000w an hour. It's 750000w a month 12 month average. Could have done 10 kwh.
My use has been of late 21 KW a day or 0.875 KWh.
So has my understanding left me. have been waiting for it to go someday.
Going to swap out my old mini split that ran on coal for a wind powered mini split tomorrow. It's a BOSCH Generation 2/3. The third generation should be the latest gas mixture for heat exchanger.

Note: The average home electric bill here in San Antonio is $400 just not sure how many KWH that is could be close to 3200 kw a month. My last bill was for 600+ kw. putting hour on it just does not seem right.

Ok studied and your right amberwolf. I stand corrected. KW is the flow and KWh is the quantity that had flowed. yep my mind is starting to go. Will I need to relearn everything all the time, lol.
