Maximum speed settings

I have installed a Grin Technologies V6 Baserunner Z9 controller with Superharness and 600C display from Grin Technologies, I have the maximum speed on the controller set at 99.9mph, the 600C display has a maximum setting of 26.5mph. Is there a way I can bypass the speed setting on the display? The display setting only seems to control the maximum speed while using the throttle, if I pedal it continues to assist past the set display speed.

then it says that it can't have it's speed limit set any higher.

8.3.1 Speed LimitSelect range 10km/h ~ 41km/h（6.2Mile/h ~ 25.4Mile/h）

If it has an option for "off" you could try that. The manual doesn't show this available, but...

8.3.7 Throttle LevelThis parameter is functional when Throttle 6KM set OFF. Support OFF or ON, OFFrepresent throttle start max speed, ON represent throttle’s speed is accorded to theassist level.

that appears to be saying that if if t his setting is off, it should work all the way up, otherwise it only works up to the assist level's limit. But it doesn't specify if the max limit in 8.3.1 is still obeyed. (presumably, yes).


Some other thoughts:

Is the wheel diameter set correctly, so that it is reading the correct wheel speed?

Is the speed signal for the display coming from a wheel sensor with a single pole (magnet), or from the BR?

If from the BR, is it from a single pole wheelspeed sensor, or a multipole, or from the motor hall sensors?

Depending on the above, you may be able to change the settings or the sensor input or the sensor itself to change the actual speed sensed by the display so it does not attempt to limit. But the displayed speed will be wrong.

Yes 26 inch wheels, set correctly. Throttle only it will top out at 25mph, with pedal assist the motor keeps pulling until I run out of legs around 38mph....lol

I have a Bafang G020 350w rear hub motor, it tested at 550w however during auto tune in Phaserunner Suite 2.0.

just curious: I haven't seen a wattage test in PRSuite. Do you happen to have a screenshot of the settings?

Sounds like a limitation of the display itself, unless you find a way to turn the speed limit off completely. You might have to ask Grin about that if you don't see it in the manual.

just curious: I haven't seen a wattage test in PRSuite. Do you happen to have a screenshot of the settings?

No I only downloaded the settings incase I needed to reload them. It doesn't include the actual test, only results.
