How do I figure out what hub motor I have? Advice on controller/display combos?

I have a hub motor with the following serial number. How can I find what kind of motor (brand, watts, etc)?
Serial number is 2CQ623040859 (could be ZCQ instead of 2CQ)

A little more context, I bought a used electric trike that has a new 48v battery and hub motor. The controller is a 'DC MOTO CONTROLLER BY LITHIUM BATTERY' with 26 1A (1000W) and 22 1A (750W) printed on the controller and a SW900 display. It worked for 2 long rides and just quit on the way back. Battery is still 4 bars on the charge display.

All the wires coming from everywhere have been cut and spliced as if nothing was compatible when it was installed. (didn't see that part when I bought it as all of that was in a big tape bundle)

No idea. There is not some unified registry of various ebike parts' serial numbers.
~1% of ebike part makers will properly label anything.

Photos of externals and internals is helpful to estimate the capabilities.
 
First thing to do is post picture of the wheel . Then you have to look at your wires and judge whether it's intact, Was it a quality rewiring job, or was everything just twisted and taped?

Given that you have a 1000W controller, you probably have a direct drive front motor. It doesn't matter who made it. They are all wired the same.

Does the SW900 still light up? Does it show a speed if you spin the front wheel or manage to pedal the bike?

Do you have a multimeter/voltmeter? You will need that to diagnose the problem. Have you charged the battery since the issue occurred? If not, I would try that first. If the battery BMS tripped, that could reset it. Regardless of what "bars" display, those meters are junk and not a reliable way of checking anything. If you have a voltmeter, confirm by measuring at the battery output that there is voltage there.

Not a quality wiring job, everything is twisted and taped. I've been through a good part of it but still have some to go. The SW900 does not light up.

The SW900 doesn't need any functionality from the controller to power up. All needs is battery voltahe. That comes from the controller, but it's a straight route from the battery into the controller box and out the display cable to the display,

What you can do is pull our your voltmeter and check the battery at its output first., Then depending on your connector, you can check for power at the display connector.,
