Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for some advice regarding my TSDZ2 mid-drive motor. Recently, it has started making a very loud, high-pitched "siren-like" screeching noise while pedaling.
I’ve attached a video download.mp4 so you can hear the sound for yourself.
Here are some details on the situation:
I’m trying to determine if this is a lubrication issue, a failing bearing, or perhaps an electronic issue with the controller.
Any guidance on how to troubleshoot this or if I should look into opening the motor case would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Here are some details on the situation:
- The symptom: The noise is very loud and persistent, sounding almost like a mechanical scream. It happens on the drivetrain (as seen in the video).
- When it happens: It occurs primarily when the motor is engaged.
I’m trying to determine if this is a lubrication issue, a failing bearing, or perhaps an electronic issue with the controller.
