MAC Front Hub Motor Road Bike Build

BC: I still have the Mac 350w you inquired about. I don't come to ES much in winter, so missed your message from Jan. 3. Thanks....John (rumped6)

If you list a location You might sell faster and be happier

Nice to see lotsa folks using their location in the ad header. On behalf of whole battalions of ES readers and buyers, thanks :D :D :D For those who remain stubborn/reclusive/self-absorbed (or, yikes! all three) a curse on you for a thousand generations......No. I take that back. Make it...

If you list a location You might sell faster and be happier

Couldn't agree more with OP. Location is all, UNLESS you are willing/wanting to ship anywhere. Sorry, Dog. You're outta the stream on this one :P John

    New build advice

Gizak in the Desert: You've got some great help from fine sources. Let me add a few things, as an old guy, and conservative e-biker. Heat (as Dogman hints) is a critical factor in your thinking - and geared motors tend to produce more, especially at the "realistic" speeds you're talking...

G series motors from Electric Rider

Funny how our individual brains work. When I first saw that motor at their site, I simply assumed it was geared. So, thought they must have labeled it such. But looking at their site now, they don't, in any clear way, in the text accompanying it. The 9 lbs a giveaway? The emphasis on...

Life Re: E-bikekit (I didn't realize they now have a hyphen!) emphasized plug and play from their beginnings. Still do. But almost every kit now is plug and play to some extent. Ebikes.ca would solve your controller-wiring worries as much as e-bikekit would, I think. The "trike" kit ("more...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

Add: ebikes.ca is having a 9C sale right now; they are good and helpful and honest folks. If cost is a primary concern (as it is for so many of us) now might be a good time to strike!?!

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

Trike Gal: Things will be "hard" or "easy" depending upon the experience and confidence you bring. Sometimes, even the most helpful folks here (and they are many and terrific!) forget what it was like to begin. The controller can be a wiry nightmare :D . But it can be greatly simplified...

Yikes! I was referring to the PiCycle.

a2b discontinued from best buy / Replaced by PiCycle

First impression of bike in pic: Wow! Interesting, interesting, not sure I like it... Further impressions, after doing a little online education about it - I could get to:-). I wonder how, in different localities, its unique design adds to or diminishes its theft-ability?

New Guy With Crystalite Phoenix Question

OOPS! The two-year estimate assumes about 250 trips a year commuting, with ONE recharge nightly. If there's a recharge at work, then another overnight, something less than two years' service from the SLAs would be more realistic. Sorry 'bout that:-)....
