Could it be because the front two wheels are the powered & steering wheels so they need to have the greatest footprint, while the back ones are just there along for the ride? I'd imagine having bike tyres like that on the back would produce less rolling resistance than your standard car tyres.
What do you think about hydrogen fuel cells? It makes it a bit more achievable now that you've got your own charging station for the hydrogen cells. I was wondering what kind of C rates you could get from that

You may have a hard time buying yourself a full-sized hydrogen-powered auto, but thanks to Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies you can at least get a 1:10 scale version. The company's H-Cell 2.0 fuel...
This is really exciting stuff. I really want to get a motor as well when they're ready. I'd be happy to help if you need anything communicated that isn't getting through, I'm located over in China and speak mandarin as well.
I've been thinking a lot about this cvt set up of yours gwy and I was thinking what might be a big help to you is if you change up the type of throttle you're using. As far I as I know, you're using a speed based throttle, which is good for a sort of direct drive set up like most electric...
Very cool thread. I don't know if it's all that much help but there's a ready-made CVT for e-scooters: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14844
That's tough man, I know there's a few Bank of America locations in the area. You could open an account with them there. You will still be subject to money transfer restrictions that China imposes on transfers out of the country, and will be required to prepare a minimum $1000 USD balance to...
I wonder if there is a way to throttle engine speed directly rather than how much power is put into them. If you could do this then I suppose you could put two engines in series and have them produce a combined, continuous high torque output until one of the motors reaches its maximum speed at...
This may come across as a stupid question, but is it possible to match two different types of motors together to propel the same wheel? If so, would it be possible for example to use an outrunner motor in combination with a hub motor with a sprocket on it?
I agree low power limits and 200w are pretty silly restrictions. The big deal is not the law itself but the impact on the way of life for a large scope of people.
In spite of street congestion, e-bikes are the main means of transportation for most people if they're not packing themselves into...
