    T3Motion GT3

Could it be because the front two wheels are the powered & steering wheels so they need to have the greatest footprint, while the back ones are just there along for the ride? I'd imagine having bike tyres like that on the back would produce less rolling resistance than your standard car tyres.

Horizon's H-Cell 2.0 hydrogen fuel cell for R/C cars now shi

What do you think about hydrogen fuel cells? It makes it a bit more achievable now that you've got your own charging station for the hydrogen cells. I was wondering what kind of C rates you could get from that

http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/25/horizons-h-cell-2-0-hydrogen-fuel-cell-for-r-c-cars-now-shippin/ You may have a hard time buying yourself a full-sized hydrogen-powered auto, but thanks to Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies you can at least get a 1:10 scale version. The company's H-Cell 2.0 fuel...

    12 kw rc motor

50cc auto scooter conversion to electric (with video)

I've been thinking a lot about this cvt set up of yours gwy and I was thinking what might be a big help to you is if you change up the type of throttle you're using. As far I as I know, you're using a speed based throttle, which is good for a sort of direct drive set up like most electric...

50cc auto scooter conversion to electric (with video)

Very cool thread. I don't know if it's all that much help but there's a ready-made CVT for e-scooters: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14844

Setting up US bank account for non resident

That's tough man, I know there's a few Bank of America locations in the area. You could open an account with them there. You will still be subject to money transfer restrictions that China imposes on transfers out of the country, and will be required to prepare a minimum $1000 USD balance to...

    Terminating the 15Ah and 20Ah Cell-Man cells

Anyone have any updates on this? I'm dying to see some progress on this (hoping that it's figured out by the time I get around to buying my pack).

Even Newer 4 to 24-cell Battery Management System (BMS)

Those Hammond extruded aluminum boxes look really slick. I suppose they're no use for anyone planning to use a 24s2p combination though right?

    Question: Dual motors

I wonder if there is a way to throttle engine speed directly rather than how much power is put into them. If you could do this then I suppose you could put two engines in series and have them produce a combined, continuous high torque output until one of the motors reaches its maximum speed at...

    Question: Dual motors

This may come across as a stupid question, but is it possible to match two different types of motors together to propel the same wheel? If so, would it be possible for example to use an outrunner motor in combination with a hub motor with a sprocket on it?

    China’s Standardization of E-bikes

I agree low power limits and 200w are pretty silly restrictions. The big deal is not the law itself but the impact on the way of life for a large scope of people. In spite of street congestion, e-bikes are the main means of transportation for most people if they're not packing themselves into...

    Bottom balancing?

This is my interpretation: The reason rick is charging to 3.8V or 4.0V is because he's trying to simulate the action of a shunt balancer where it kicks in around at that voltage. My guess is that's what point the "Rudman Regulator" kicks in that he's showing doesn't work. He makes sure that...

    China’s Standardization of E-bikes

On the surface e-bike manufacturers are furious about this of course and people generally aren't happy about this. You need to take into consideration though that this is already a standard they established 10 years ago, and they're just re-stating it. Often that's how things go here, they...

Even Newer 4 to 24-cell Battery Management System (BMS)

Ok sorry to crash the thread here guys, but I'm just itching to buy a Goodrum/Fetcher BMS and TPPacks.com is all sold out. What can I do to get my hands on one of these? Also, is there a chance I can order a pre-assembled one? Cheers.

Don't Shoot! At least till you hear the message first!

I was actually looking at this m85 not that long ago as I'd like to do some sort of a ultralight performance e-motorcycle type of thing some day, but not until I get my first project done  Now i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this bike (M85) is not a production bike yet. They...

Large Removable TS pack - is it possible?

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it. Andy, you wouldn't happen to have a picture of the entire scooter so I can get a feel for the size of it would you? Here's the body that I am considering:

Large Removable TS pack - is it possible?

72VDC Nominal / 40Ah Cell Details: http://www.thunder-sky.com/pdf/TS-LFP40.pdf I know it's big, but I'm not so much concerned about having to carry lots as I am concerned about the other practicalities such as having to split the pack safely, removing it from the BMS and other components, and...

Large Removable TS pack - is it possible?

Question: Would it be difficult to create a 24S pack of Thundersky cells that can be removable from a scooter, to then be recharged indoors separately from the bike? I can't get direct plug-in access where I live to charge a scooter and that's a really big problem for me. Is it possible? How...

Has anyone bought anything from vpower.hk?

I inquired about buying batteries from them and the general response from forum members was that they were crap. I've spotted them on the local ebay called "taobao", and they're using promotional pictures of "their" plant which is actually a picture directly ripped off of an Australian...

    Thundersky cells and BMS

watching this guy from evtv.me makes me wonder if even having a BMS is neccesary. Basically saying that if it's battery management, then it generates too much heat and creates a fire hazard. If it's battery monitoring, then it's too inaccurate for practical real world usage since there's lots...
