Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Has anyone here successfully run the V3 with a Castle HV160 ESC?

Does anybody have a blown phoenix HV ESC?

I have at least 3 of them. I'll take a look at the caps.

Have you ever burned a Castle Creations ICE 160 HV ?

Also, perhaps most importantly, the PWM rate must be set at 24kHz. That will essentially cut your voltage ripple in half compared to the factory setting of 12kHz. Like Matt stated, you should definitely fit 4 of the 1000 microfarad caps. If possible, I'd try to get it geared down to about...

I guess we've been holding out long enough...

Hey guys, Thanks for the support! We went ahead and ordered a 100V 100A infineon controller from Methods, it should be here today. That should do a lot to help with the climbing of the Appalachians and eventually the Rockies. We will just have to really keep an eye on motor temps to make...

Problems running 12V DC outlet and AC inverter

The MP3 charger does like 5V, but I have a car charger for it that plugs in and steps down the 12V to 5V. I will check the AC voltage of the inverter...

Problems running 12V DC outlet and AC inverter

Hey guys, I'm using a 48V 60Ah LiFePO4 battery, and I'm running a 12V DC outlet off of one of the packs to charge an Ipod, and I'm using a 12V 350W inverter to occasionally charge the laptop off of another 12V pack. I triple checked the voltage and polarity that the inverter and DC outlet...

Wiring 40A Infineon to Crystaltye 5303

Yep, It was the motor pole count and incorrect shunt values. With the correct pole count, it's now indicating 37 mph on a full charge with no load, and about a 100W draw at that speed. Thanks!!

Wiring 40A Infineon to Crystaltye 5303

The motor is running very smoothly.. John, I haven't entered the pole count, so you're probably onto something there. What is the pole count for the 5303? The excessive wattage draw at full throttle is still throwing me off..

Wiring 40A Infineon to Crystaltye 5303

Update: I found a wiring combo that has the motor spinning smoothly forward, but it's only reaching 19 mph at no load full throttle, while consuming 250 watts. Its running at 52 volts, and I'm getting these readings off of a Version 2 CA that's programmed to the correct wheel diameter for 20"...

Wiring 40A Infineon to Crystaltye 5303

Hey guys, I just realized that the Infineon 40A is using different connectors than the 5303 I'm using. I just wanted to check and see if you could steer me in the right direction with wiring it to the controller. The 40A Infineon has two main leads to the motor: First Lead: 3 pin wire...

Elite Power Solutions GBS Battery Wiring

Hey everyone, I'm working on installing a 48V 60Ah GBS battery from EPS and I was wondering if you guys would be able to give me some pointers on a couple BMS wiring questions. First off, the black and red wire leads that come off the central board, where do they go? Also, do all the white...

    RC Wiring Diagram: Dig in

Hey guys, I just put together a quick wiring diagram for a friend who is putting together a 4kW setup. You'll have to excuse my handwriting. :D I figured it might be helpful for some folks out there who are new to these setups. I always set mine up with a line contactor, keyswitch, and...

I guess we've been holding out long enough...

Hey all you solar geeks (myself included): Some great news!! SBM Solar, out of Concord, NC is going to be building us some custom solar panels. http://www.sbmsolar.com/ They are using a Dupont polyfluro polymer film to cover their modules, so they are much lighter than glass panels, but...

I guess we've been holding out long enough...

Jimmy, We do hope to build a few of these tandems when we return from our trip, there's currently not enough time left to build and sell frames before our departure! :) jorhyne1, the main reason I chose the GBS batteries is because of their cleaner and more protected terminal covers. Also...
