    headway 40150

I Have recently bought 10 Ah Headway cells from a chap from the Gold Coast through Ebay. Initial testing seems okay. I have replaced the lead acid battery in my mower with these lithium cells and the cells are performing very well. Especially when they are half the price. Good hunting.

Hi John, Yes, I am interested in another ride. It would be nice to catch up with the chaps who have been on other rides and to meet any new faces.

    Which BMS for Headway?

I like this BMS because it has LEDs showing when each cell is in balance mode and I have had no problems for several years...

From my experience, the squeal is a dry oil seal on the wheel bearing so there is nothing to worry about. I had this problem on my QS 3000W 60V hub motor.

What are the tracks like after a lot of rain? I am wondering if next week might be better. My bike isn't designed for wet, muddy conditions and come to think of it neither am I . Okay, I am a "woos" .

    foundingpower programmable bms

Hi Gregor, What do you think the IC manufacturer's number for the step-down switcher would be? It measures 3mm by 3mm with "MKAE" and "SAYB" printed on it and has 8 legs. Regards, Kev

Thank you, Gregor. What is the manufactures product number of N4 ? Also, what is the name of the 100 ohm resistor and is the diode D56 or D52? Regards, Kev

    foundingpower programmable bms

I have the very small display which doesn't have any switches to turn it on. Could you try connecting it all up how it should be and with a multimeter, check the input and output voltages of the two regulators N10 and N3 ? They should be 5 volts and 3.3 volts respectively. If there is no input...

    foundingpower programmable bms

The markings on N4 were MKAE and SAYB . The BMS did work until one day I was tidying up the sense wires and didn't follow the golden rule "check all the voltages of the cells at the plugs before plugging it into the BMS". I bypassed N4 with a suitable DC external supply to the regulator chips...
