    I connected throttle to controller(not motor) and now read 4.8 or so volts after connecting power to controller, but going to wait for new throttle. Original throttle is suspected to be worn out, been in the rain to much. dv8 or other---do you know the symptoms of a defective controller as...

    I got the same tester , as of now you got it working better than I did...not so good instructions. My FETS tested out OK also--tested them with simple meter right on the board.....test red,green,black throttle wires going to the throttle, should get around 5volts, this is where my controller...

    Pardon me for not being able to go thru whole thread, but when no juice is being applied what parts are being turned aside from your normal crank,gears to wheel torque,ect.(via just pedaling) needed to push bike forward? Another way of saying this,besides extra weight near bottom bracket...

    thanks friendly1uk, One more question----that company besttechpower seems to sell only the circuit-board? I don't see no monitor/meters of sorts, I'm assuming this is the bms motherboard? to be accordingly rigged up?

    if anybody could in a short answer ----what's the difference between a bms and a cycle analyst also? Would help explain a bms I think. Seems like some overlap here. Also the difference with the cell-log 8(threw that in as well)

    ' What concerns me is the DC voltage rating.Have you used that switch a number of times? Not just once I mean. My voltages go up to 72-74 volts DC. Not sure though on my amperages though as I need to get a proper riding cycle monitor. DC voltages seem to arc worse than AC voltages....

    If I may ask where did you get a 120 V DC switch with key? Amp rating would need be at least probably 10 amps or so....I tried 250 AC rated toggle switch and it doesn't work as power switch just stays closed(on) with my 64 volt battery set-up. Thanks in advance.

    Here in the midwest US as of Jan.3,2015 thank heaven this has not panned out which just goes to show how hard it is to predict weather...rain today so above freezing which means ride ride ride my ebike.

    Does using lipo in cold weather damage lipo batteries?

    Hoping this is relevant, I know someone that has owned a Prius(hybrid) more than 5 years and he says that the cold effects his miles per gallon a bit in that it goes from 50 or so to a little less in winter time but in summer goes to his previous efficiency. I do think his battery is lithium...
