10k or 12k ntc /ptc

I am having some problems I am running two crystalyte battery packs 36v 9 Ah and have come back from a heavy current trip 72v @ 20A and waited at least an hour b4 starting to charge one pack when I plugged in the charger would flash yellow then turn to red only (not charging) the 2nd would start to charge immediately I then measured the ntc/ptc resistance (not sure what it is) the pack that was charging measure 12.5k approx the pack not starting the charge was 10.5k approx but was slowly creaping up from 9.x originally am I correct in thinking ptc=increase in temp=incress in R if so battery packs use ntc I will keep monitoring the resistance in the morning and hopefully it will allow the charger to start charging but even after 90 minutes it would not start or have I f**k'd up the battery pack

Any help suggestions would be great

Is the charger the " Hi Power " type ?

After trying a couple of times to charge it it worked I found that the problem is properly in the fact the the plug on the charger does not completely make a snug fit this has been the case from day one and I will try to get a replacement socket for the battery today I can still plug the same charger into another battery pack and it fits fine so its not the plug although it seemed strange that that thermistor had a lower reading assuming pin 2-3 are the termistor pins I will find this out when replacing the socket the only conclusion I could come to was that the one with the lower reading could be due to which way the battery packs are connected to the controller ie one pack feeding the -ve and one feeding the +ve
