I have located a source of 11 awg magnet wire. Does anyone have knowledge/experience using this for 9C phase upgrade? My understanding is that 12awg
is easy, even teflon coated fits ; but 10 awg is a wrestling match. 11awg is almost exactly in the middle but a bit hard to find. Any views?

I don't have a 9c, but I'm curious as to why you need 10 or 11 gauge phase wires. Are you going to put 90 volts (to motor) with a high amp battery pack?
I have 10 gauge wiring coming out of my 48v lifepo packs. Never had it elsewhere. Based on my limited understaning, amps are what require thicker and thicker wiring not the voltage. One experiment an electrical person told me is to run the product and then feel how hot the wiring is. You can then decide what is safe. Of course, there is only so much wiring space through the axle.
