Finally got my leaf blower in the mail.

First thing I did was reverse the polarity and blow up the board! Alright... at least that gives me a good excuse to take it apart and upgrade what I can.

18 gauge wires!

Motor gets warm running for a few seconds.... How will it fair running for five minutes?

I'm thinking at the very least all the parts across the 18v and 24v lines are cross compatible... as in the 18v lvc board and motor will fit in the 24v blower and vice versa. It should be possible to order a 24v motor. I'd like to put an RC motor in there but I don't have the fab skills and rc motor know how.

I love this site. I have been contemplating putting my 18v Worx string trimmer on 5s Lipo. I just want 15+ min. of solid runtime. piece of cake right ??

My friend had a 24 volts lawn mower that the sla battery pack was low ...and he gave it to me so now i am running it 36 volts nimh ...my old battery pack from 6 years ago and it is running great ...i can mow my lawn and 2 of my neighbours on 36 volts 15 ah nimh

I made my 18volt WORX string trimmer work by running it on (5) THUNDERSKY 20AH BATS. I made a sholder strap to carry the battries with. now all my trimming problems are solved. :D :D

Wow 20 ah. You should have some serious runtime now.
