Update that these 22's seem to be holding up well, Amazing on the road and the tyre depth makes a HUGE difference for all sorts of reasons. leaning into corners is great fun and there is also an added bounce to the bike deep tyres and plush suspension is a winner. Off-road is surprisingly good on these road tyres, better than I was expecting

This may have been covered before and I may be missing where tyre measurements are actually taken by the industry? but sometimes what's in the tin differs somewhat to whats on the label.

Probably best to actually take measurements in person (if possible) at the widest point to confirm clearances before tyre purchases.

I got lucky this time but only by a few mm each side.

(I did actually measure using the ends of the meter, just propped to take pic )

I can only find shinko with a 15" 2.5" tyre...

Yes I expect it would fit but don't take my word for it!
Like mentioned by a few before, some bicycle rims have sketchy tolerances, so it really depends if 19" bicycle rims fall into that category or not?

If the rim sizes are all pretty much exact standardised diameters, then yep, I cant see why not

Could you send a link for the rims, Id be interest in checking out other alternatives?

OK, you mean the 19" Alex rim dx32 on your build? you'l have to take the diameter and compare it to a 15" motorbike tyre. Or just wing it, pick up a cheapy tyre and see if it fits?

biggest problem is I can't find anywhere to buy the tyre I want. Just got excited for a second then this:

edit: I can get it from ebay but it will not be a cheap test fit. $100 is about 4 times what you guys in the states can get it for.

could anyone measure the upper and lower part of the tire bead so I can compare that to my dx32 rim which looks much shallow than the pictures of the shinko?

I know some here must be running that 16 mc /20" bicycle combo......

Shipping tyres is more expensive than the tyre is worth to Brisbane, you would be looking at $60-80 NZ, this is due to their volumetric weight.

Ye its not as close to Aus as most of the rest of the world think.

Cant find a UK supplier either. Meant to be a good brand (now), they need a good distributor, which obviously the US has.

There must be other similar options, either way $100 for a tyre isnt too crazy, just annoying that they are cheaper else where.
