2 wheeled castor skateboard/scooter design

Hi,

I was thinking about building this, was wondering if there's a good reason nobody makes these...



It has a castor wheel in the front, you lean to turn, seems like it should work as the weight of the rider tries to keep the wheel straight naturally, but perhaps this makes it impossible to balance? The possible disadvantage is it wouldn't be as easy to do sharp turns like a scooter.

I know of the dirt surfer, That's part of what inspired me along with this..


The problem with both of those designs is how complex it is to build to get the same result. My idea is intended to keep the dust on a CNC mill.

This is what I'm after except with 2 wheels instead of 4.

I guess you'll have to build one (ore more) to see if it will work. Especially the balancing at different castor angles. I've not seen a DIY version yet where the build is "simple" without using a mill or lathe. Go for it and report back please
