Hello. New member here. However I have been reading a lot from this. So thank you all. But now I have an account, how can I make a post? I’m having some questions about installing and configuring my new nucular 24f for sur ron.

You just posted your own post sir, congratulations.

To start another project, figure out what category it should go in, Controller category or Troubleshooting category. Its just as easy to figure out as posting a post vs a new thread.

Pictures are always better! Glory shots :thumb:

Welcome.

I went ahead and moved your post to the Ebike Troubleshooting forum so you now have a thread just for your project / questions / problems. :)

Go ahead and use the Reply button to any post in this thread to make a new post, and put in as much detail as you can about your setup and how it is now, and what you want to change and how you want it to behave / operate when it's done, and we can help you figure out what you need to do (or get).

LInks to the purchase pages for anything you've already bought or are considering may be helpful as well.

I just received my 24f fitted for surron. Install went pretty smooth. But I’m at a loss. Setup battery. And go to auto setup and it just fails on the motor and won’t continue. I am a little overwhelmed with all the settings. So I have to learn a lot. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Stock battery, no bypass. No brakes connected. Everything is up to date. Throttle shows input. But there wasn’t a connection for it. I saw that it needed to be connected to display in an old YouTube video. I really need this to work. I literally use it for work. :?

Maybe start anew and following this 24f set up procedure:

I did watch this video. And followed it. Do you mean reset the settings by start a new? I’m not sure I follow. This is what happens currently running set up. Just spins once for a second then there’s an audible beeeeeep from the controller. And setup stops. :(

Yes. I do want more power. Also the tune-ability. I am going for more range currently because I use the bike to deliver and it’s my only means of transportation currently. I don’t have my drivers license. By shunt, do you mean the bms bypass? I believe I have a second battery with a bypassed bms. It behaves as it is anyway, have to open it up. I have been using two batteries in parallel and it has been great with the stock controller. I am new to the electric thing but I am eager to learn. I just want to be careful in the steps the take because the level of danger with the batteries. I will try to reset it now. I was hesitant because it seemed to come setup pretty close for surron. But first I’ll double check the wiring. I do thank you for the help this far. I appreciate it.but end setup I will have a bigger 60v battery. Not really comfortable with the bypassed option.

I feel like this connector did not seat properly. It’s a concern to me first and foremost. I wonder if it’s wise to test continuity between the connector?

I did get a small pop from something. The connector went in smooth and clicked. There is an audible beeping after stopping the setup process.

Now thinking of resetting. It’s saying there is a password required and I don’t have one. Does anyone know if I choose one or if it has already been added?

It won't work because you're doing the setup in square and not FOC

......and turn on to sensors

Password is: press each button from left to right once

Jonno

Set to foc. And sensors. The break parameters were out of wack. Visily said to change range to 13000-13500 mV in control and that solved the auto set up problem. This is what it was originally

Thank you all for the help. It’s working good. I’m not used to the lack of engine breaking off the throttle. I used to switch to ep mode just before releasing the throttle to coast then sport when I need it or to go. Is it possible to configure engine breaking with a rocker switch? Perhaps the factory sur ron button? I ride hard on the road and I’m changing brake pads constantly. I am extremely unhappy with the breaking system for road use. Maybe I’ll upgrade brakes after I get an aftermarket battery.
