Hi guys
I have a qs205 in an eeb frame and I was currently using a single shimano bmx freewheel. I didnt really want to remove it because its of much better quality and super quiet. But for versitility, i decided to try this 3 speed freewheel..problem is that its a cheaper non branded version but I figured having 3 gears would be better than 1. Plus this 3 speed freewheel is the exact same width as the single shimano.

Problem is there are no notches for a removal or installation tool only 2 little holes. I assume the arrow is to remind you that its clockwise so I installed it by hand as tight as I could. I tapped the holes a tiny bit clockwise as well with a hammer and flat screwdriver.

Has anyone removed one of these? Im guessing counter clockwise on the 2 holes and take it apart and destroy it piece by piece???

Its cheap so no matter...but just a hassle if that how you do it

Probably need a spanner wrench that pokes into the two holes. Or a vise grips.

I dont think vise grips would work coz once ithe axle goes through the freewheel then you wont be abke to get s grip

Shimano makes a splined fw removal tool.. the holes are for bearing disassemble;)

It wont work for the aliexpress freewheel though.
The one in my original post is the tricky one to get off once its tight on the motor threads

shit happens sometimes when you buy junk.. wouldn't expect the bearings to be high quality either.. destructive removal coming soon I'm guessing.. for the next one do an image search and look for removal splines .. example :

Thx..will order it..the up side is that it has splines..but it might be too wide since irs an extra cm in width. With the qs205 in the swingarm it will be really cramped.

With the cheapo single speed "yu qui" freewheel, I disassemble it (while still installed on the hub) by using a punch and hammer to unscrew the outer cover (as you mentioned, hook the punch into the 2 pin holes on the side), but it is a left hand thread, so clockwise to unscrew.

Once it is disassembled, use a pipe wrench to unscrew the main body off the hub motor (standard thread, counter-clockwise to unscrew). Usually there is a "non-functional" shoulder surface you can grip on that doesn't matter if it gets a little damage from the wrench teeth. Your 3 speed might be different in this aspect. Not sure.
