48 v 20 ah BATTERY CHARGER

The charger that comes with the battery does not have balancer

Is it advisable to carry a charger that has balancer?

What brand and model should I buy?

Who's pack is this? Ping's? The duct-tape packs have balancers inside them.

If that's the link to the purchase I made
I do not have much to tell
Nor is much English
The battery goes well, which only has a range of 40 kilometers what I believe are few

If your battery was from mp3k, then it should have a balancer taped inside the battery itself, so you should be ok. Why it didn't come with a charger, I don't know. He usually gives a charger with the battery for free. You may need to ask him to send you one.

Your best bet would be to get a charger for Mr Ping. But any 48v charger will be ok as long as you leave it charging for at least 12 hours or longer. The balancer is in the battery management board. Leaving a regular sla charger on for a long long time will still balance the pack since it still does a small bit of charging when the green light is on.

Won't balance on SLA charger voltage. I asked Ping when I bought a BMS from him, and he says they (the Signalab ones) don't balance until the very end of the charge cycle (which is never reached with an SLA charger).

yes, the packs bms will do no balancing at sla voltage, but the sla charger will continue to trickle and bring up the voltage of the lower than charger voltage cells. It does take forever, hence the need to leave plugged in for long , long,,,, longtime. It must work, my pack has been on sla chargers for 1200 miles but I allways leave charging for about 16 hours overnight since I am too lazy to get up and shut it off, or use a timer.

^^^^ I thought alot of those cheap SLA chargers (like Ping, or E-crazyman) could be taken apart and voltage adjusted up (with a screwdriver) a little to accomedate a lithium BMS for faster charging.

Am I wrong?

It comes with a charger, but I think it has no balancer

I have read what a normal charger disconnects the load when the first cell reaches the load properly, and leaves the other without fully charge.

Is this true?

We say what I recommend a charger with balancer, and what you know exactly when the full load and save electric energy!!!!!!

This ( white arrow ) Is the " BMS " .. Battery Management System.

It will ballance your pack with the charger that you have. No need for ballancing charger.

If you have a battery without a BMS, then you need a ballancing charger.. but you have a BMS !

I get it,

So balancer is a charger with a charger with internal BMS?
