76v 13.3Ah samsung 20R pack with kelly 100-150A controller

Just wanted to get peoples opinions on running my current battery with a high amperage controller from kelly.

Battery is 21s7p samsung 18650 20R cells. 13.3ah total.

50amp BMS but have been told by battery manufacturer that battery will provide 100A+current for short bursts. Ive also been told that it will run a 100 amp controller with no issue.

I run this battery on 2 bikes currently-

1 is a high speed cruiser -40amp infineon

The other is a fatbike -45amp extreme modder lyen

Id like to step it up though.

I run both bikes with a cycle analyst v3 so i can control total current output.

The goal is push as much as safely possible with this current battery until i can upgrade to a battery with more capacity(and possibly 100v).

New motor may be a wider dd qs hub...for now i may just drill the side covers.

Jeebus, that fat bike looks like a motorbike, do you not get the attention of the 5-0? The fact that the controller can output 150A peak for 10 seconds would be worrying if you weren't limiting the current with the CA. I'd take the battery manufacturers current claims with a pinch of salt if the BMS is only rated at 50A. Which company manufactured this battery setup? maybe somebody on here has past experience with that BMS...

Em3ev. He said the bms will allow for small bursts over 100amps but will power a 100amp controller.

cops dont care as long as its not noisy and it has pedals. nh is pretty easy going. live free or die i guess

The battery pack itself is rated for 146.3A using 11C 20r cells at 13.3ah, so 100A shouldn't be a problem as long as you use large enough battery wiring like 6awg or larger for the mains. You will get considerable sag of ~10-12V with a 100A draw.

Wesnewell - do you think this kelly controller would work well with an hs3540(drilled side covers) in a 26" wheel?
