Here's more.

If you watch the video on that page, the 65mph claim is somewhat reasonable, since it looks like it uses an RC drive. I know there some videos around of some guy doing 55 on a trike with RC drive. I don't know that I would want to do it, but I think it is possible. Someone also needs to tell that guy that his "environmentally sound" e-bike is also illegal in NYC where it looks like that video was shot. :D

I would think it would need much more leather cased battery to get it up to 65, and still wouldn't come anywhere close to 120 mile range. I call shenanigans. And if it was rc, wouldn't it need some fancy reduction drive? It seems just too compact to really pack a punch.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

If it did what the bloke claimedand i was filthy rich like the 41 other people that have ordered them would have to be
to drop that sort of coin on ANY sort of bicycle then yeah, i would buy one too....would fill the space in the corner nicely that the Ferraris Lamborghinis, Astin Martins, Porches and Mercs couldnt.. :p would also be useful to ride down the end of the drive way and check the mail wouldn' t it!

It might get 120 miles range if you only use the motor for a couple seconds why accelerating from stops, and maybe for a bit longer on the 20 or so hills along those 120 miles. The rest of the power comes from your legs.

bawahaha

And 65mph on a bike with no rear suspension? Hopefully you're on virgin asphalt private road.

Actually, I shouldn't say that. My road bike does pretty well on 'good' roads at 55mph. But then again, it weighs 19lbs.

If you watch the video they show their bikes using a reduction drive. It is CGI, but I assume that is what they have put in this bike. Here is the video I'm referring too.

...

Better look at the bike here. Anyone speak German??

The Bike-Tuning Workshop PG bikes from Regensburg provides exclusive bikes for an exclusive audience. Last Tuesday, the company presented to Managing Director Manuel Ostner a large, if not the largest litter its history. "In cooperation with the firm" UBComposites GmbH, specialist for pioneering carbon-technology and many years in Formula 1 Sports, developed the Regensburg forge a bike wheel of superlatives. Enormous development, know-how from Formula 1 and sports do have the space to incorporate the electric bicycle maker in the Black Trail. Speeds up to 100 kmh should be possible with the vehicle. The developers speak of an incipient revolution, the two-wheeler market is expected to influence powerful. Technically, the wheel on the stand of the possible feasible, which is clearly reflected in the price of 50,000 € (net) again. The manufacturer communicates the wheel in the net price, without VAT, since it will serve primarily the international market. In Germany, the wheel is in the retail price in saturated 59.000 .- €

Most impressive I find is that they already sold 41 $80K bikes! How did they do that? Not by that guy in the video hopefully? :D

Nice looking but considering the lack of mudguards you would have a "blacktrail" of mud up the back of your nice business suit on a rainy day.

you what!?! are you mad man! :p you wouldn't take this out in the wet it cost 80k FFS!!! these bikes would be best suited to roll on the long corridors of your mansion on weekends or roll around your Olympic size indoor pool as you checkout the swimwear models lounging about from the 'A' lister parte' you threw the night before...
