Add Potentiometer to Change Charger Volts

Hi, Just got this little charger that I need to bring the voltage down, It's giving out 86v and I need it at 80v, so I am thinking of a
potentiometer resistor? just where to put it? (no pun)

You have to find the PWM control chip, then identify the feedback pin. That feedback pin will have two resistors on it forming a voltage divider. Calculate the division ratio; that will give you the internal reference. (i.e. if it's a 20:1 divider, then the reference voltage inside the PWM IC is 4.3V.) Use that to calculate a new resistor network. Alternatively put a pot between the two resistors and the feedback point, but that means either lifting leads or cutting traces.
