Hello.

Ive got and ebike which dont have throttle and is locked to 25km/h. I wanna add throttle, the speed limit unlock isnt nessesary. I have opened a controller and there is SP, SP+5V - there was also a soldered cables. I connected a throttle to this cables but didnt work. I have LCD3 - tried to connect it, it power on but the motor is not working. I have also SW900 display - is there a chance that it will work if i connect? I know I can buy KT Controller and display and it will work but maybe I can make it work without money?

thank you for the help

The controller pictured is not a Ketung (KT) brand going by its label and serial no.. Try plugging in the other display and cycling through its configuration options to ensue throttle control is enabled.

Hello.

I have opened a controller and there is SP, SP+5V - there was also a soldered cables. I connected a throttle to this cables but didnt work.
You found a a 3 wire cable with a connector connected to SP, SP5V, and GND? Did your throttle have the red wire on the SP5V pin and the black wire on GND?

An LCD3 will never work with the controller, but it will power up and allow the settings to be changed, which fools you into thinking it works. It's just running off battery and ground, but its data protocols don't match that controller, so it cannot work.

Yes, the cables was connected to SP, SP5V and GND but outside controller is a cable splitter where those cables where not used (no plug in splitter for throttle). Yes red was SP5V and black GND. I will check again with multimeter if there 5V appear.

Yes. The bike is working all time - when I turn the pedals, or run walk mode - motor starts. I just wanna add throttle.

I have check it SP5V gives 5V, GND is GND and SP is about 4,8V when turned on. What kind of display I need to change parameters? I have SW900 but i will have to resolder plugs.

I would check the throttle to make sure it’s working. Follow the steps under “throttle testing” to make sure the throttle is outputting a signal within the correct voltage range.

Can you provide pics of the ends of the connectors coming out of the splitter that show the pins?

There is only plug for 2 brakes sensors, LCD and LED lamp. I solder another cable to SP, SP5V and GND and I have those signals in separate cable.

The throttle is working - I have tested it with another ebike.

I think just in my LCD K26E the throttle option is turned off and I have to connect another LCD which are compatible with this controller but I dont know which one can be. You think SW900 will work? I can resolder plugs and give it a try.

SP is often used to designate throttle connections, but in this case the voltage on SP is wrong It cannot cannot be a throttle signal, if it is at 4.8V. It should be at zero volts, because anything over 2V is recognized as a throttle input.

On the KT controllers I use, the throttle supply voltage is about 4.4-4.5V. Signal is zero volts. That's with no throttle connected.

Unless your controller was designed to work with that specific SW900, I don't think there's any point in trying that display either. As you already have the LCD3, you can buy a 17A-20A KT sinewave controller for about $35-38 USD shipped.

I'm using LCD3 with my other e-bike so I will have to buy KT controller and LCD3 so this is about 70$. There is another problem which I dont understand - I have a CSC Controler with SW900 display - I have connected everthing to this bike and PAS sensor doesnt work - is there possibility that this PAS Sensor is not compatible with this controller? In P13 there is 5,8,12 magnet settings but this PAS is 6 magnet - it can be a issue?

I upload a photo of controller and color of cable from controller and from PAS sensor. Which colors connect to be 100% sure it is okey? I think this is yellow-white, red-brown, black-black. Im right? In this controller throttle is working, walk mode is working but PAS dont :D

PAS sensors sometimes are left handed or right handed. They have to be on the proper side of the BB axles. Then the magnetic disk may have to be facing the right direction, so the N-S poles of the magnets cross the PAS sensor in the right orientation.

I never had much trouble with this type. It can go on either side. Just a matter of flipping the disk around so the magnets spin into it with the right orientation.
