Adding 6 or 12 volts in series

Now that Frank (aka: Frankie) has two 24 volt batteries in par., what about adding 6 or 12 volts to that in series?
That would either hit the 450 watt motor with 30 or 36 volts. Have not looked at my controller or motor. I still have a
12 volt 9ah battery.

Would work best if the 24v battery you have is similar in capacity to the one you add. Many 36v controllers can handle 48v. But some 24v controllers only have 30 v capacitors in them, so you'd have to get a controller compatible with 36v voltage, IE, one with 50v caps in it.
