adding front turn signals to a bike that has rear signals

Hi i was trying to add front led turn signals to my 48v bike, i got a splitter to connect at the rear light when i tried to connect the front signals both rear turn signals light up at the same time. what would i need to add to stop this problem? also can the bike handle the extra lights on the circuits ? Thanks for any help

You obviously bridged all leds with your splitter. I'd identify each signal output from the controller first, and then crimp a new splitter onto those wires. About the max load, you might want to check voltage first: if your signals leds are running on Vbatt, you should be fine. If they are powered by 5 or 6V, you might want to check the dc-dc step down chip used by the controller and make sure you don't exceed max amps. If the controller is potted, and easy check it to check temperature: if it gets hots, your step down module has reached its limits.

Thanks for the info i'm just going to forget about adding lights, i dont want any electrical problems with the bike
