trying to add front turn signals to my bike that has factory rear signals

when i tried to add the front lights the rear signals would both light up,do i need to add some kind of component to fix this ? This is how i was connecting to the bike. I got a splitter and put it in at the rear light harness thanks for any help

One splitter or two? Picture?

1 splitter between cable to rear light and pigtail coming out of light assembly. Also only seem to have 1 wire with power ?

is there a selector switch for left or right turn?.If so can you access the switch internals?

The switch is sealed i don't want to cut open the harness,these circuits are very sensitive. 2 Wires touched for a second while checking for power and took out the display lessen learned , I'm used to dealing with car wiring, just going to forget about adding them thanks for the help
