Aero Motorcycles and InMoto Magazine present the E-Racer

Aero Motorcycles teamed up with InMoto Magazine (Italian Magazine) to produce the E-Racer which is based on the same electric motor utilised on the T-Racer Rally.

It is said that the electric bike produces a power of around 55kW which is around 70 hp. When it comes to charging, timing depends on the power of the socket. With a high-powered charging point, the motorcycle can be charged in around 30 minutes. Not bad! However, when charging on a standard socket, you can expect to wait around four hours before the bike is likely to be fully charged.

For an electric bike, it only weighs around 160 kg which is pretty light and also contains a five-speed gearbox which is also rare for a motorcycle of its kind.

I think it looks fun, pity about the gearbox decision. Any EV that needs 5speeds just has a very wrong motor for the application.

There is the need for a jackshaft given the motor placement, and it assures lenty of swingarm travel. So while you're there, add a gearbox for a few lower ratios for hill-climbing up rocky tracks.

I think given the bike will be used for really low-speed stuff as well as 70 km/h+ stuff, a few different ratios might make a bit of sense.
