Amped Bikes Tube Batter Long Term Review?

Hello all!

It's about time for a new battery for my father's E-Bike, and as he has been very pleased with his Amped Bikes kit, he's considering the LiCo Tube Battery that they sell, and I have seen some reviews from years past (2009 & 2010) but what I am most interested in is a long term review on it's performance.

Anyone owned one for a year or more care to say how it performed?

I sold the one I bought over a year ago to someone on the board and told them if they had any issues to let me know.
Have heard nothing so that's a good sign.

Reading on the amped forums for the most part people seem happy. I do seem to see a common issue with the BMS
failing or having problems and people having to mail them back to amped , but it is just a small amount. They seem
to stuff a lot in that bottle.

My problem with the battery is I was told I was buying a 12ah battery and they sold me a 10ah one and when I tried to
talk to their customer service I got the impression they didn't even know the difference themselves.

Yea that's what burns me.. amped charges 600$ for these and states they don't do 200% markups.. maybe 199% , but
not 200..

The weird part is they seem to sell faster they they can make.

Yeah I'm still kicking so far! Still not able to ride really, but I'm getting better.

I don't know why I haven't come here so often when I am under the weather, I guess I have just been focused on things I am more able to do.

Got some more basic questions about the tube battery, Amped is closed today, and I wasn't able to notice it skimming their site, but I noticed that there is a tray with a lock, does this lock only lock the battery to the tray, or is it a on-off switch or both?

the ones i have seen on the ebikekit.com lifepo4 packs in those rectangular aluminum cases with the key switch have three positions. off, which is unlocked, then it goes to locked but still off, then one more click to on and locked.

The tube battery locks to the tray and there is a switch on top to turn on / off the battery.

The two functions were separate in the one I had last year.
