anyone has that motor or similar but with the 29 inch wheel options? how does that motor perform if i select the 700c wheel size option and fit the motor to a mountain bike 29er wheel?

Not a direct comparison but I have a BPM 500w code 12 in 26 in wheel (30a KU123 controller) and a BPM CST 500w in a 700c/"29er" wheel (21a S12S controller) and while I haven't done any lab testing the 29er bike is heaps faster in total speed, on the same battery, my 700c setup builds up speed more slowly but goes faster, while the 26inch build takes off like a rocket like riding a bull (on lipo) but doesn't go that fast.
Its all technically comparing oranges with apples but I think going 29er over 26inch is a no brainer for geared motors if you got the option at least for riding where your mostly commuting.

In the last Olympics 2012 in Britain *EVERY* single rider that competed in the mountain bike event choose to ride a 29er over a 26inch bike.
*Edit* I decided to google that olympics "everyones" a 29er statement, I thought thats what I saw when I watched the event on TV but more accurately it was probably around 90% of them were 29ers. From the stats 9 of the top 10 riders were on 29ers as far as I could dig out of google roughly.

1) You are comparing different winds - a 10-turn motor will have higher top speed and slower acc than a 12-turn one, everything else kept same.
2) 29ers are faster on some courses, for some riders, under some conditions.
3) 26" is dead. Start getting used to 650b

Could I ask where you bought the CST? And did it come laced I the 29er rim? I'm trying to find somewhere that sells them laced.
Cheers

I have bafang cst 250w 36v in my 700c hybrid and I could say it performs well for my liking.

I think you need to be more specific that what u need

I measured the spoke length and laced the rim by myself (2 cross) I do not encounter any problem.

Forgot to say I got it from BMSbattery. You can also try greenbikekit

I have a Bafang BPM 500w 48v purchased to be fit in 28" rims. Can someone please tell me if that motor does 328 rpm - I cannot find any information about code 12 in 48v
