Hey everyone, I recently got the Aventon Aventure ebike, and while I was parking, the battery popped out, hit the concrete and now won’t turn on or charge. Reached out to Aventon, they won’t get back to me, as well as a local bike battery repair shop that hasn’t got back to me. Built it myself, which I think voids the warranty, so I can open it up. It seems I need to repair it myself somehow, are there any resources on how to do this, or does anyone have a potential fix? Attached a pic, light should be on. Thanks!

I think he means he assembled his own e-BSO out of the box.

Score one more point for not putting the battery inside the frame by whatever hokey means.

The first e-bike I ever built, in the late '90s, had the battery stuffed up into the frame. I never did that again after watching the owner (who built the battery) rip the smoking NiCd battery out of the frame in a panic.

Will assume something broke when it hit the concrete. Is there a switch? Turn it on. Is there a fuse? Look at it. Where is the electrical connection where battery connects to bike? Measure voltage with a volt meter. Take more pictures. To take battery apart, you need to do some exploratory surgery. Look at it, think about it. Go to sleep and try again in the morning. Work slow. Take more pictures.

Careful with electricity. You won't get electrocuted. Will make sparks and burn your fingers if you do something stupid. Battery fire is not good. Use common sense. Ask questions.
