Hi all, does anyone know the correct position of the Bafang speed sensor on the back wheel?
I guess if this is not perfectly in the correct position the display will be out

I have a 750w Bafang 8fun. got everything working but the speed does not match my GPS.
The GPS unit is showing about 8mph faster on max speed than the Bafang display unit. I guess I don't have the speed sensor in the correct place on the back wheel. At the moment the magnet is about 1 inch in from the rim

If it is a magnet and sensor that just attaches to your spokes and fork then it is just counting revolutions and you need to tell the speedometer what the circumference of your tire is.

Actually pretty much every way of measuring speed not using a GPS requires that information.

A quick search on setting it up only turned up that it asks for the parameters at first startup. In most cycle computers they make it relatively easy to get to the config menu since it can change if you change tire specs, wheels, bikes, etc. So, if you have a manual, look for speedometer parameters or config settings.

Look up the display your using. It will be a basic setting. The menu will probably require the holding of two buttons simultainiously to activate it.
