The system is completely dead so swopped the controller and still no joy.
Does C965 display and switch fire up the whole system?
Double checked all the leads and connections and am thinking of getting a replacement display
Any thoughts ?

Have you determined that the motor is good? If not consider a brushless motor tester. They are not expensive and will prove the motor good or not.

Completely dead implies it doesn't turn on at all or have any indication there is power to it--is this correct?

If so, you should start at the battery, since that's the source of all system power.

What is your battery voltage (as measured at the controller battery connector input), while the system is connected to it, and turned off?

Same thing, but with system turned on (even if ti doesn't appear to be on, doing the procedure for turning it on)?

What is your battery voltage *supposed to be* (if it's fully charged, for instance)?

If there's no or insufficient voltage at the controller in these tests, then waht is the battery votlage at the battery output terminals when it is not connected to the bike?

And what is the voltage at the charge port terminals?
