Hello.
I have 2 motors Bafang RM G062 1000W
I'm a bike courier and did like 19000 kilometers in 2 years with one of them. Now I mounted the new one on bike, and opened the old one to make some maintenance but to my surprise the motor inside was relatively clean compared to what i've seen on other videos.

The question is: how do I really know that I need to replace the nylon gears?
Despite having 19000 kilometers the motor runs just fine. It matters that I only ran with 1st and 2nd speed setting out of five? All my batteries are Samsung cells 48V- 17Ah/ 18Ah/, I have more but all run on 48V.
I only reached 34km/h first time when I checked the motor but since then the max speed is 25 km/h, I dont need more for deliveries. Could this mean the nylon gears are not so abused? This is how the gears look.

Second question:

1st motor - 6.5

2nd motor - 06

Can someone explain to me as if I were a child what this means?
Thank you very much.

Whenever they are broken, damaged, or worn to the point they are not functioning.

If they are not, there is no need to replace them.

No idea on that one. There is discussion in various threads about bafang / 8fun's numbering systems, with various guesses and deductions about what they may mean. However, Bafang seems to change it from time to time, so it isn't necessarily going to be consistent and therefore may not mean anything without Bafang's internal company documentation.

Hey
I just re-greased the gears with MobilGrease XHP 222 and put them back on.
I even measured the diameter - mine are 47.62 mm smallest, 47.69mm and 47.76 mm. The ones on ali express are given with 47.5 mm. I'll buy one set just to see what bearings they have, but other than that no point of repairing what is not broken.
Thank you.

Later: Put the motor on the bike after re=grease, now I get a noise: toc, toc, toc, toc.
I checked with the motor without gears, no toc toc toc.
I'll just wait for the new gears. :))
