Hi All,

I am thinking of getting 4 of these

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__64794__Multistar_High_Capacity_4S_10000mAh_Multi_Rotor_Lipo_Pack_UK_Warehouse_.html

To run my 48v evo scooter at 60v. Question is, what else do I need? Can I use this charger:

Since 4 batteries will be 16S.

Do I need balancing leads and leads to connect in series? I guess soldering would be the best bet but I was thinking about easy swapping of components.

Sorry I am a newbie to the battery powered world.

no, 16S of lipo charges to 67.2 volts DC and not 72V. the term '72V' is a nominal voltage for 24S of lifepo4 or 6 x 12V of SLA.

you have to examine your controller to see what voltage rating of the parts inside are and whether you need to add to the input power resistor in order to drop the voltage to the 12V regulator. most 36V controllers have 63V input caps.
