I have a Bafang 500w48v kit with a Samsung (I think) 48v 10ah downtube battery. It has 2 wires coming out of it (yellow and red) I connected the red battery wire to the red motor wire just fine, but the yellow battery wire cannot fit into the black motor wire (only other wire left) what do I do??

First thing, is get a voltmeter, and confirm that the red wire on the battery is positive. Hopefully same color is positive on the controller.

Then cut off the cheap connector you have on all four wires. Replace with soldered 4mm hobby bullets or crimped 45 amps Anderson connectors.

Likely you can get the bullets locally, if you have a hobby store.

Since you want to ride today, you could cut off that connector that is on the negative wire, and just twist it together with a wire nut temporarily. Leave the other connector on, so you won't mix up the wires later.

And tape it. Check battery voltage before first ride not to kill a low battery. Have you changed it first ? Where did this come from ? Yellow wire ?
