Battery short circuit :(((

Yesterday I want to measure the voltage on my new battery but I forgot that measurer is set to mesure an amperage and I make a short circuit.
Now battery dosen't show any volts.
I have this battery:

It has 288 cells 18650 type.
It could damage some cell or whole battery?
How to repair battery?
Maybe cells are in protect mode ( if are protected) and maybe plug in charger will help?

I checked it works at diffrent battery cells very well

See, this is another reason why i dig lipo.

Short circuit it and it will send hundreds-thousands of amps through said circuit.
I literally melted the metal leads of a multimeter this way. It was beautiful.

Back to the subject at hand. You could have very well fried your BMS.

I checked voltage without BMS and still there is no any volts
looks like battery is dead
shouldn't BMS cut off voltage during short circuit?

PS. my short circuit was "fast", when I touch + and - battery there was only "pik" and one my finger was black, dosen't melted the metal leads of a multimeter, battery instant dead

That's my guess too, though you'd expect the multimeter to be fried. Try measuring it before the battery leads enter the bms.

I agree with dogman, you need to measure at the input to the BMS.

I would think it very unlikely that a brief short would have destroyed all the cells.
If there is no voltage at the input to the BMS then you need to trace it back to the cells. Just have a look around for burnt/melted wires etc. Probably pretty obvious.
Just remember do NOT wear any rings or watches with metal straps when working on your battery.

I would guess that at least the current range of your meter is fried unless it is a very expensive meter. There is always the possibility that the voltage one is damaged too maybe giving incorrect readings.

There might even be a fuse hidden in their inline with the cells somewhere.

your meter was blown up when you shorted it out. that was what the smoke was for.

Did you try it on the bike?
A short like that should not kill the battery. Melt the meter or leads but not the battery.

Sorry for your troubles. Probably is an easy fix.

I can't imagine the tabs on the battery itself melted before the bms burnt up.

Battery is OK
It is something wrong with multimeter.
Before short circuit I setup measurement to the 20V and multimeter show voltage after short circuit he didn't. I have second multimeter (but also after short circuit and he also didn't show any volts but both show volt single lithium battery cell about 3.7V so i thought thet battery is dead).
Last three post guide me that I should check onece again so I setup multimeter to the 200V and battery show 52.3V
I was only by a step to "undress" whole battery pack and look for one damaged cell from 288pcs.
