How can I fix the electrical part of my Ebike after short circuit?

I have this Ancheer ebike (check link at the bottom). It was working well, until one day I was driving with the bike in the back of my rig, a tree branch caught hold of a wire and ripped it in half. Luckily it was only the wiring for the lamp and for the horn, but unluckily for me I made a stupid mistake... When soldering the wires back together, I forgot to tape the individual wires separately, so after riding the bike one day the wires must have come in contact and caused a short circuit. The battery still turns on, but nothing else functions. I was thinking perhaps replacing the screen would fix the issue (it did not). I saw a video where a guy takes apart the battery and replaces a fuse, but he had a different battery and I haven't figured out how to gain access to the fuse box.

All help appreciated. Also when giving advice, please explain it to me like I'm a child because I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to the China Ebike stuff. I do have a volt meter that I can use which is good.

It could be an internal fuse; your battery pack has two positive and two negative terminals so one could control accessories and another the motor and controller. 4 pin battery connectors don’t often work like that though, more commonly there’s two power pins and two pins for sensors, or possibly for charging. Check the terminals with a multimeter and see if they both show voltage. If a pair doesn’t show voltage, try setting it to ohm readout as a thermistor will be giving a resistance depending on temperature.

If everything checks out ok with the battery, my guess would be something fried on your controller. The controller is separate from the display by the way!

Can you clarify what you mean by “the battery still turns on”? Do you mean you flick the switch and indicator lights turn on, or you measured battery level voltage between the + and - discharge contacts?
My guess is that there’s a power meter on the battery itself

Have you tried putting it on the charger?

Turn on the battery and measure voltage at the + and - discharge contacts. If full battery voltage is present, then the issue is downstream of the battery. If no voltage, then it could be a fuse or the BMS tripped on overcurrent. Many BMS's can be reset when charging is applied, so I'd try that first before opening the pack.
