Has anyone ordered from here?Good or bad experience?I am thinking of ordering 2x37v 10ah lipo packs from them and running them in series.I tried calling them and got a guy that couldnt speak english too well and told me to call back.I'm a little suspicious. The packs are hi output-40amps,weigh about 6lbs and are about $480 each with a waterproof enclosure.Just wondering if anybody has thoughts on these batteries.

Thanks
Chris

I ordered and received in good order 20 chargers and about a dozen batteries from BS. The company is for real, though others here have reported that the quality of BS battery packs is inadequate. I'd personally stay away from their packs for now, but not their cells and chargers.
All-battery carries very similar inventory.

Hey xter I looked at all batteries site and they only have a 37v 4ah battery for $350.The battery space packs are the only ones I have found that are 10ah and weight 6lbs.Could you be more specific as to why I should avoid their packs and not other products?

Reid here had quite an odyssey with his BS pack:

I seem to recall other complaints as well, but I don't recall in what threads those other complaints are discussed. But the problems centered around the BMS, and batteryspace merchandise return of the packs. Hence, my trepidation. I bought cells and chargers from BS a year ago that are still working fine. Maybe batteryspace has improved their packs -- if so, it would be great to know. So I wasn't sure enough you are likely enough to experience a problem with BS for me to recommend to you that you shouldn't purchase a BS pack, just that I personally wouldn't until I hear better things about their packs, particularly from ebikers like you.
In other words, it's fine for you to jump off that bridge first if you want to, but I wouldn't until I see whether or not you get hurt. :)

I haven't ordered from BS, and I won't. I was planning to order some Nimh packs 6 months ago, but after several unanswered emails, incorect information provided in there forum to my questions, and a phonecall that lead nowhere, I decided not to order from them.

But if you're looking for Lipo, I just ordered from itselectric.ca. I paid $425 each for 2 37V, 8.2 amp Lipos including charger and BMS. I've only tested the batteries once, but the Customer service up to this point has been great.
The owner emailed me after I ordered, just to make sure the batteries would work for me. 2 emails back and forth with questiones I hadn't considered but he had, and an eventual phone call From him, and it was confirmed. Yes, they would work, and yes, he was shipping them out. Good customer service is getting rare, but companies that go the extra mile after the sale is almost unheard of in this buisness. I'll be doing buisness with them again.

I live in Calgary and have dealt with itselectric.ca directly. While I can't vouch for the new packs they offer, as I haven't used them, I can say that the owner Ken is very knowledgeable and offers great service. He went to a lot of trouble to set up my bike and got things done when he said he would. I would buy from him again.

My Wilderness kit came from itselectric and I was well pleased. The price was a lot better than ebay vendors and shipping was reasonable. The only problem I experienced was the hand-out and on-line instructions were incorrect but handled quickly by a courteous phone call.

Also the hub motor wheel required balancing which is probably par for the course (I'm new to ebikes and really don't know). I'll purchase from them again.

I've been happy with my purchases from Batteryspace, but I bought NiMHs and chargers. They replaced a failed Watts Up meter without any hassle.

I think I may have just ruined one 12V pack I bought from them, but if so it's my fault (another post, later). Up til now have had about 3000 trouble-free miles.

But don't even try to communicate with them about technical issues. Their English is much better than my Chinese, but it's not (in my experience, and it was a year ago) good enough to answer questions by e-mail. They may be better now.

I've probably ordered at least a hundred (mixed) LiIon, NiMH, LiPo batteries from them, about 50 LiIon protection circuits, a dozen assorted chargers and several other things from them over the last three years or so.

Several other people I know have been buying from them for as long or longer. Sometimes the quality of some of their products are less than ideal, (you get what you pay for, and their prices are usually cheaper than most places) but I'm pretty happy with the business itself.

In fact, they are getting better at customer service. When I first started ordering fro them it took 15-20 days to receive my orders; The last three orders have arrived in 3-4 (business) days. A couple of weeks ago a Watt's Up meter died about a day after I received it, and it only took a 6 days to get a replacement from the time I sent an email requesting a RMA.

I'm about to place another order with them as soon as I figure out what I REALLY need.
