BBS 02 / BSHD wiring harness

I'm wondering if the extra socket that the BBSHD has for a gear sensor input, uses an input wire on the controller somewhere that is also available on the BBS 02, but just not brought out and connected to a socket. If so that would make an interesting mod to do.
Does anyone out there know it this is true ?

Sorry I should have been more precise. I was talking about the gear change sensor input. On the BBSHD there a special input for it which doesn't have any time delays built in. Knowing manufacturers and their designers, its much easier to add features and not use them, than it is to keep changing the control boards and hardware. I was guessing that there would be no difference between the BBSHD control board and the latest BBS -02 control board (apart from the number of output Fets installed ). If that is so then the connections on the two control boards should be the same but less wires connected.
