BBSHD Spacer Between Mounting Plate and Bottom Bracket

Hi. I am installing a BBSHD on my bike and want to confirm something.

Notes:

- I have a California Ebikes Stabilizer Bar *used in lieu of the triangle mounting plate

- I have a Lekkie One Nut *used in lieu of the pair of Bafang Mount Nuts

On the non drive side, according to the diagram on the manual I have to install the triangle mounting plate first so it kisses the bottom bracket housing. Then I install the two nuts.

Because I am using the stabilizer bar, when I install it first, the bar hits the non drive chain stay and is not completely straight/ parallel with the bottom bracket. However, if I put a bottom bracket spacer first then the stabilizer bar, I can have the stabilizer bar pretty flush with the non drive chain stay.

So my question is, is it acceptable to have 1-2 washers between the stabilizer bar and bottom bracket housing?

got pics of this situation?

Thanks everyone. I over thought it.

I just bent it and had it similar to how you have in your pic. My clamps are coming tonight and it should be enough to hold.

In my case it doesn't sit completely flush against the seat tube but I think it is fine.
