I'm having chain issues with my bicycles. I just tested a mid-drive system and have developed chain issues. What's the best all around "cost efficient" drive chain for racing MTB's and/or a mid-drive. The Sram 850 just doesn't cut it. Help! Anyone?

Also could use advice on a 7 spd rear derailleur/shifter set-up. Using a twist throttle so shifter would have to be thumb. I'm doing this on the cheap guys so please help me with LOW cost solutions. I'll be off throttle when I shift so the set-up doesn't have to be bullet proof. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I've already bought a couple of Shimano HG50's to try. One of the local bike shop mechanics said these are WAY better than the Sram 850. Price wise, their like a buck or more, so what the heck. I'm already rethinking my setup. Amazon has a great deal on a Shimano 8 spd trigger shifter, I may have to add a cog to the new cassette and order the shifter and matching derailleur. Now, back to Craigslist to sell more junk to support my eBike habit. Thanks again (I've recorded your suggestions for future reference) and cheers!
