Hello! I'm trying to find a big hub motor to put on my mountain bike. It's hard to find anything that fits normal dropouts, has room for gearing, and supports at least 2kw.
I'm also looking for something wound low so it only hits ~50kmh. I want torque.
The only motor I can find is Crystalyte H4065 and its extremely expensive (cheapest configured $750) https://electric-bikes.com/betterbikes/hseries.html
Is there anything else? Somehow, despite hundreds of millions of these hub motors being made, the DIY aftermarket is a wasteland. It's so frustrating! 99% of the Chinese stuff is for 155mm dropouts, its extremely hard to find big motors that fit regular bike frames. I could bent my dropouts to fit, but I still wouldn't have any room for gearing. I still want my bike to be a bike
