I got my Bionx kit about a month ago and really like it and have over 500 miles on it. The problem is I can only get about 35 miles with pedal assist with the stock 36V 8ah battery because of my weight and the hills around here and I would like to get about 60 miles. I am thinking about buying the 36 volt 8ah triangle battery and bag from Ebikes. The Bionx battery is on a rear rack. Can I parallel the second battery with the Bionx battery and how would I do it or just switch over to the other battery when the first one goes dead. Does anyone make a switch to use when one battery goes dead? Does anyone have some ideas about how to hookup the second battery? Thanks in advance.

could you pleae indicate your exact configuration 36v 24v Nimh Lith, and are you in the eggshell batttery enclosure or the soft pack?

I had good experince with NIMH 36v, using the charger port to connect another 36v battery in when the first pack had voltage sag. There is an isolation diode so that the bionx internal pack battery cannot supply power thru the charger port on NIMH.

Dont know if this will work on Lithium?

Anyone?

Other ideas?

Do you have the NiMH in the soft case? How many miles would you say you got compared to 7bobw? If you have the soft case, could you fit two NiMH packs in the same case? Was your second battery from Bionx or a third party?
So many questions and so many miles to cover....
I've been debating between the NiMH and Li-MN for a while now. I recently heard that Bionx is going to stop offering the NiMH soon. What to do.......?
