Ok . There are signal wires and there are wires that hold the load of the wattage. The red and black battery wires you should use a xt60 connector. Oh soldering.
The yellow, blue and green wire the thick ones are the phase wires. They hold the current from the controller to the motor I use 4 mm gold plated bullet connectors oh yes more soldering and shrink tube them.. be careful your controller may still be holding energy as a lightning bolt inside and it may shock you. Turn it on lift the wheel and turn the throttle to dissipate the energy or lightning bolt out of the controller.

Plus at this point you should buy an e-bike tester for 10 to $15 it will test motor controller throttle and maybe something else. And easy golden tool I'm going to have to go downstairs and use it on a donor bike I got today.
