G'day all.

I have a wiring diagram question and thought I may as well start a thread every one can use so all the information is centralized regarding diagrams for different bms's. It may help people, noobs like me in particular get a hold on standard wiring protocols and or differences between different boards.

So feel welcome to post your questions and diagrams here.



So here is my question regarding the bestech HCX-D166

It's a 16 s bms that I'll be using in 14s configuration. I would just like to know what should do with the 15th and 16th balancing wires. Im presuming that i just leave them unconnected and hook up the 14'th wire along with B+.

i just remove them from the sense wire plug.

if you use a sharp pick, you can push in the little retaining catch from the back side of the plug. you have to push hard and jam the wire deeper into the plug so it will let the catch drop down below the inside of the slot in the plug and then the wire will come right out backwards.

save them for later so that when you go to 16S you can reuse them.

actually a very good BMS. i wait for someone to solder the shunt a little bit to push the overcurrent cutoff higher.

I always push the wire up into the plug then use the pick as it may be locked in a little.
